Solar and roofing consultant

Solar and Roofing Consultant

Lead the charge for more efficient, sustainable homes as a solar and roofing consultant with Public Service Solar. As a consultant it is your responsibility to educate the customer and provide the best solution for them to move forward with their solar and/or roofing project.

  • Consult and educate, both in-person and virtually, be there to ask questions, answer questions and guide the potential customer towards the solution that is right for them.
  • System design and proposals development, use your technical skills to develop a solar and/or roofing plan which matches best with our customer’s specific needs.
  • Sales and negotiation, understand the purchasing process and cost saving benefits for solar and roofing as you guide the homeowner on the path towards a sustainable solution.
  • Manage relationships, beyond an initial rapport, our client’s are people who deserve respect and open communication.

Electrical apprentice

Electrical Apprentice 

Work directly under the supervision of a licensed electrician motivated to teach you the craft of becoming a knowledgeable electrical tradesman.

  • Learn the technical tools of the trade, by studying and implementing the terms, diagrams and specifications of electrical systems.
  • Understand safety protocols, familiarity and observance of safety regulations for the protection of yourself, your teammates, and the customer.
  • Install, maintain, and repair, solar electric systems, battery storage systems, and EV charging systems.
  • Attend training and continue education, take what you learn in the field into the classroom along your journey to becoming a licensed electrician.

Solar Installer

Work in the field installing solar electric systems and their components including solar modules, inverters, racking, and wiring. Take pride in your workmanship and the advancement of renewable energy across our service areas.

  • Site surveys, before the work begins ensure accurate measurements and site suitability for clean and practical installations.
  • Prepare, confirm build plans, equipment inventory, and safety for efficient, safe, and effective work on site.
  • Install solar modules, inverters, racking, and other system components per manufacturer specifications, company plans, and utility and municipal regulations. Be comfortable with working at heights, using power tools, and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Test and commission, test your work for functionality, performance, and compliance.
  • Leave no trace, when we leave a site it is our duty to leave it in a better condition than it was when our team first arrived.

Roofing Installer

Our roofers play a critical role in protecting our client’s homes from the elements and ensuring the structural integrity and longevity of our roofing components.

  • Site surveys, before the work begins ensure accurate measurements and site suitability for clean and practical installations.
  • Prepare, confirm build plans, equipment inventory, and safety for efficient, safe, and productive work on site.
  • Remove an install roof shingles, underlayments, flashings, and vents per manufacturer specifications, company design specifications, and municipal regulations. Be comfortable with working at heights, using power tools, and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Leave no trace, when we leave a site it is our duty to leave it in a better condition than it was when our team first arrived.
